Don't Meditate
Do you sometimes feel that meditation is just an old Asian torture method, designed for those who live in caves with wild tigers, snakes and have 30 hours in their day?
You however, live in a fast, modern world with cars, mortgage, family, work, pets and you can barely find time to relax. Forget about meditating. How could you with all the noise around anyway?
But a tiny voice inside of you is asking for something special. There is a part of you that is craving to release pressure from your shoulders. It is asking you to calm the spinning thoughts in your mind and wants you to find the joy in just BEING you.
Now you can reply to that voice with this simple exercise.
Instead of forcing yourself to meditate, you can allow your hands to communicate with your mind directly.
Your hands will tell your mind how to be graceful, relaxed and connected to your spirit. They will tell this story in a matter of seconds and you will understand.
Sit up straight and put your hands in front of your forehead with the base of your palms, pinkies and thumbs touching as if you are holding a precious bowl.
THINK AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE.
Try as hard as you can to NOT meditate.
You will either find it hard to think or you'll think about things that are calming and refreshing.
Try it for 3 minutes.
Let me know in the comments how did if feel?
I don't claim I came up with this exercise. It was passed down to all of us by Yogi Bhajan and you can read about it in Mahan Kirin's book "Three Min Start."
If you feel that in order for you to move forward in life, you need to go within and learn more about yourself and the ancient techniques that can help you, I'm offering free 20-min consultations. zita@happyfreespirit.com
